Basketball:
1st and 2nd Hours:Monday/Thurs dribbling and shooting
Tues/Fri free throws
Weds passing and defense
Rules and Skills taught daily.
Strategy and Coaching tactics.
Team Scrimmage Daily.
Physical Fitness:
4th and 5th  Hours:Monday, Wednesday and Friday:
Increase muscular Strength.
Increase Flexibility.
Tuesday and Thursday:
Cardiovascular Endurance and Team Sports.  Yoga, Pilates and Aerobics.



PHYSICAL EDUCATION COURSE SYLLABUS

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Understand that anything of value should NEVER be left in gym locker.
2. Students should buy a lock for their gym locker.
3. Students should never share a locker with other students.
4. Be on time, dressed for gym and prepared to exercise.
5. Students should help rack balls or weights at the end of class.
6. Never hang on rims, sit on basketballs or go in equipment room.
7. All book bags and belongings are to be secured, never left in gym.
8. Students enter and exit locker-room together, on teachers command.
9. Students never leave the gym or the sight of teacher w/o permission.
10. Student should inform the teacher of any medical condition.
11. Students should leave phones, wallets and valuables in school locker.
12. Suspended students write 1 page 200 words paper per day or zero.
13. Students who kick basketballs or volleyballs just bought the ball. $7.00
14. Students who are tardy should check in with teacher.

GRADING PROCEDURES
1. Students are evaluated on 1. Participation 2. Skill testing 3. Written test
2. 80% of grade is participation. Must dress and participate to pass.
3. Providing you have A ‘s on skill and written tests, best grade possible for
10-week period. 2 zeros =B 3 zeros=C 4 zeros=D 5 zeros=Fail.
4. Tardy students will receive a tardy and zero if unable to dress on time.
5. Students must be properly dressed for class or grade is marked down.
6. Students must actively participate in team games that require movement.
7. Your grade is marked down for sitting in weight room, standing in gym.
8. Must have a doctor’s note if injured and unable to participate.
